Amy Klein
Director of Business Development

Amy leads the Business Development division for Charitable Ventures, overseeing strategic partner development, funder relations, and new initiative development to further the mission of Charitable Ventures. Through the efforts of Amy and her team, the division builds awareness of Charitable Ventures’ robust service offerings, supports prospecting and community partnership activity, and helps build up the capacity of nonprofit organizations.

Prior to her current position, Amy worked for 13 years in the social sector. This included seven years as the Executive Director of a New Jersey based nonprofit, then called VolunteerConnect, supporting the organizational capacity building needs of regional nonprofits. During her tenure there, she launched and implemented several initiatives that advanced the landscape of pro bono service in New Jersey, including a nonprofit board training program, both for individuals and corporations, including Janssen Pharmaceuticals and NRG Energy, and launched the state’s first skills-based volunteer matching program. She was a frequent workshop and seminar guest speaker promoting the cross-sector benefits of skilled volunteerism. She was honored for this work in 2017 and received the Princeton-Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Community Leader of the Year” award.

Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from UCLA. She lives at the beach with her husband and bouncy chocolate Labrador. She has two grown children, both living and working in California. Her kryptonite is a glass of red wine with Gruyère cheese and crusty Italian bread.
