TITLE: Census Coordinator

LOCATION: Newport Beach, California, with travel throughout Orange County

JOB SUMMARY: The Census Coordinator works with the 2020 Census Team to support administrative, training, logistic, and planning tasks necessary to ensure a complete and fair 2020 Census count for Orange County. Primary responsibilities include: providing training and set-up support for regional QACs (Questionnaire Assistance Centers); coordinating volunteer placement and management, tracking and distributing supplies, tools, and marketing collateral to partners and grantees, providing logistical support for Expos and other events, and other logistical and administrative tasks. This is a temporary position, from January through July 2020.

TITLE: Controller

LOCATION: Newport Beach, California, Santa Ana, California, and/or Remote

JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Controller is the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets. Working closely with the Director of Finance, the Controller supports smooth financial operations and managing the finance department. The Controller ensures that reported results comply with State and Federal guidelines, laws, and regulations.

TITLE: Marketing and Event Coordinator

LOCATION: Newport Beach, CA, Santa Ana, CA and/or Remote

JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Marketing and Event Coordinator is to provide marketing, branding, and communication support to the organization, its fiscally-sponsored projects, and its clients. The coordinator will play a key role in content development for the organization, including social media posts, external collateral creation and website development.

TITLE: Cabin Leader – San Gorgonio Outdoor Science School

LOCATION: Camp Arbolado, Angelus Oaks, CA

JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Cabin Leader is to supervise students with positive and clear communication; maintain discipline and safety awareness; direct and supervise students at all meals, bedtime, cabin cleanup and other group living activities; act as a role model at all times; respond quickly and calmly to any emergency situation that may arise and administer first aid; instruct and teach students on hikes and nature trails; organize and lead crafts and recreational activities; present lessons to students in an innovative, imaginative and creative manner; direct and lead entertainment in evenings including songs, skits, bedtime stories and s’mores.

TITLE: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – Project Kinship

JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Alcohol and Drug counselor’s primary responsibility is to conduct initial risk assessments on clients: physical, mental, emotional, and social needs; skill and literacy level; substance use status; recovery needs; and appropriate levels of care.

TITLE: Director of Development – Project Kinship

LOCATION: 2215 N. Broadway St. Suite 2, Santa Ana, CA 92706

JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Development’s primary responsibility is establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to grow the organization’s budget through the solicitation of major gifts, federal and state grants, special events, and corporate and foundation support. They will expand and diversify Project Kinship’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives.
