Fairmont Kea Lani Kōkua Fund

It is with a very heavy heart that we are witnessing the devastating aftermath of the wildfires on Maui. Although the fires did not physically impact Fairmont Kea Lani, they have nonetheless ravaged the local community. The full extent of the fires’ wrath likely will not be known for several days or weeks. In the meantime, the well-being of our Fairmont Kea Lani colleagues and immediate family – some of whom have lost their homes and possessions – is our greatest concern. We are actively gathering resources of support for them and their families who are enduring unprecedented hardships throughout this incredibly tragic and challenging time.

To that end, we have created the Fairmont Kea Lani Kōkua Fund to provide immediate and longer term financial assistance to our Fairmont Kea Lani colleagues and their families. This fund will support with emergency financial resources for housing, food, transportation, medical care, funeral expenses, clothing and other unanticipated costs created by the wildfires and subsequent economic impact. Any funds remaining after our employees have been supported will be distributed to the Maui Community through the Hawai’i Community Foundation’s Maui Strong Fund and other local organizations responding to the Maui wildfires.
