Hallie Stohler-Plaza 
Senior Consultant

As Senior Consultant specializing in Community Engagement at Charitable Ventures, Hallie supports partners with Community Engagement strategy with linguistic and cultural competence, equity and inclusion in mind. She supports through community leadership development, facilitation, research and qualitative evaluation such as focus groups, interviews, and community forums, strategic planning, communications services, and general project management. Hallie also facilitates the internal REDI work at Charitable Ventures.

Prior to her position at Charitable Ventures, Hallie served as a research and evaluation consultant for two California-based organizations, and as the lead Human Rights research and publications assistant at UC San Diego’s Laboratory on International Law and Regulation, where she collaborated on a number of journal articles and the book Making Human Rights a Reality. She has international advocacy and communications experience with Amnesty International and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights where she worked on topics related to economic, social, and cultural rights and immigrant rights. With her strong interest in equity, health policy, and health outcomes, her professional experience also includes service as the General Manager of a Donor Milk Bank and administration and marketing at a cancer diagnostics laboratory.

Hallie holds dual Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Latin American, and Latino/a Literatures and Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz, and a Master of Pacific International Affairs with a focus on Public Policy and Latin America from UC San Diego. She is fluent in Spanish.

In addition to her passion for supporting the social sector at Charitable Ventures and her volunteer leadership, she adores her family, travel, nature, good conversation, and music.
