Linda Machida
Specialist, Government Grants

As Government Grants Specialist for Charitable Ventures (CV), Linda Machida provides consulting services related to strategy for and development of government grants and contracts of behalf of CV’s Core Programs, Sponsored Projects, and Clients. Working collaboratively with the Consulting Services team, Linda will work on grants, consulting, and contract deliverables as assigned, meeting quality standards and scope of work timelines.

Prior to her current position, Linda worked as an independent grants consultant for non-profit organizations, foundations, and school districts throughout the Southern California area, writing federal, state, county, and private foundation grants focusing on education, community schools, career technical education, workforce development, arts and culture, health, social services, veterans and more. She was the initiating coordinator for a community-wide planning and collective impact project for Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre and has helped school districts develop their Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs) and other plans.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California at Berkeley and a Project Management Certification from UCLA. She and her family enjoy the outdoors and walking their cats.
