Marilyn Orman
Evaluation Consultant

As Evaluation Consultant for Charitable Ventures, Marilyn Orman focuses on Evaluation and Planning, including the development of evaluation plans, the construction of survey instruments and data collection methods, and conducts data analysis.

Prior to her current position, Marilyn was a Client Specialist II with Charitable Ventures and worked for Children’s Home Society of California (CHS) as an Outcomes Associate. She has also worked for an inpatient mental health and eating disorder treatment hospital in Ventura County as their Admissions and Discharge Planning Specialist; and is also a private tutor for local students of all ages in need of support with math and college preparatory exams.

Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands and a Master of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology and Program Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association (AEA) and is certified in the Five Protective Factors, the Standards of Quality for Family Strengthening and Support, and completed training on how to be Culturally Proficient Professional.

Marilyn grew up in Santa Barbara County and has one cat named Nebula. She likes to spend her free time in the sun and loves staying active – you can find her at the beach or attending a class at Orangetheory Fitness. She has competed in at least a dozen half marathons and many more 5k and 10k runs. She is a lifelong Los Angeles Dodger and USC Trojan fan and enjoys attending games with her Dad and close friends.
