As Grant Manager for Charitable Ventures, Sandi Hanscom focuses on fund development services, which includes grant writing and editing, strategic planning, fund research, work plan and grants calendar development, and management of a team of grant writers to meet the needs of clients with consistency, efficacy, and individualized attention.
Sandi is a seasoned non-profit professional and recognized leader in grants management. Over the course of her career, Sandi has become passionate about supporting the mission of many philanthropic organizations. She is recognized for her interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and is successful in assessing the interests of customers, coordinating logistics, meeting deadlines and goals, and working well under pressure with a friendly and respectful attitude.
She most recently worked for 5 years as the Grants Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire, with past work in fund development and/or grant writing with Northrise University, Free Wheelchair Mission, KidWorks, Brethren Community Foundation, and John Wayne Cancer Foundation.
Sandi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Marketing from San Diego State University.
Sandi and her husband, Andrew, live in Newport Beach with their yellow lab, Maverick.
